Virginia Del Boccio, née Campeglia, age 98, went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2022; beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, she took great joy in her family as well as involvement in her church, where she served in many different capacities over the years. Virginia was quick-witted, always ready with humorous side commentary, and generous of her time and talents. A lifelong Chicagoan, she was a dedicated Cubs fan, known to forgo a good night's sleep to catch the end of a late game. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Emil, parents Dominic and Rafaela, and brother Frank; survived by her son, Daniel (Vicki) Del Boccio of Glen Ellyn, her four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeremy) Boiles of Highland Park, Andrew (Kathryn) of Norwalk, Conn., Mario of Louisville, Ky. and Olivia of Williams Bay, Wis., as well as five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral service 10:00 A.M. at Lombard Gospel Chapel, 369 N. Stewart Avenue, Lombard, IL. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Belmont & Cumberland Avenues, River Grove.
