Sterline Mildred Hudson

Sterline Mildred Hudson, age 97, a lifelong resident of Waukegan, Illinois passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was born September 3, 1923 in Waukegan to the union of Sterling and Lillie (Vorn) Hopkins.  As a child she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church, Waukegan. Sterline attended Carmen Elementary School (McAllister Elementary School), Waukegan and Graduated from Waukegan East High School. Sterline had such an infectious personality. When you first meet her you were guaranteed to fall in love. She was loved and adored by many. Sterline retired after 37 plus years of service with the Civil Service at Fort Sheridan in food service division.

Beloved wife of the late William Hudson on August 31,1986. Loving mother of Elizabeth Locke of Oxon Hill, MD. and the late John Sterling "JJ" Willis, Sterline "Angel" Kemp Jr., Jerome Hudson, Barbara White, William "June" Hudson, Jr., Fond grandmother of 21. Great, great great and great great great grandmother to many. Cherished cousin Fred Blakely. 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with an informal family memorial service starting around 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL. Interment will be held private.
