Stephen Barry

Stephen Underwood Barry, age 81 of Lake Forest passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, Illinois. He was born March 27, 1941 in Oak Park, Illinois to the union of Frank and Virginia (Underwood) Barry. He resided in Prospect Heights before moving to Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Taft High School, class of 1959 and attended Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Illinois. Stephen worked as a carpet salesman working for many years at Carson Pirie & Scott Department Store and for 28 years with Lakeshore Carpet Co. in Highwood. As a child he enjoyed camping at Devil's Lake, Wisconsin with his family. Stephen's favorite pastime was collecting antiques and collectibles throughout the Northshore.

Loving father of Mark (Laurie) Barry of LaPorte, Indiana and the late Brett Barry in 1996. Fond grandfather of William, Jack and Alexa Barry of LaPorte, Indiana. Dear brother of Dennis (Dorothy) Barry of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cherished family friend of Lorraine Gorski of North Chicago and her sons Kevin (Nickie) Gorski and Jacob Grant and her grandson Emmett Gorski.
