Rose Ann Simpson

Rose Ann Simpson, age 82 of Lake Forest passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 with her family by her side.  Beloved wife of David, loving mother of David Jr (late Ruth), Randy and Sally. Cherished grandmother of Kyle (Gabby), Hannah (Blaine), Haley (Tom) and great grandma to Jake, Cole and Luke. Daughter of the late Jim and Eva Albert and dear sister of Janet Russell. Aunt to Jamey (Tony, AJ, Jacob), Sanni (Carlos, Nehemiah, Talitha), Jimmy, Miles (Emma).

Visitation Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 2-6 PM and Monday, February 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM until prayers at 10:15 AM at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood to the Church of Saint Mary, 175 East Illinois Road, Lake Forest. mass 11:00 AM. Interment Lake Forest Cemetery.

Rose Ann enjoyed a long marriage to her high school sweetheart, Dave, that included children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. For her it was always about building family memories and traditions, new and old.

In her words, seeking new experiences and revisiting old interests were the focus of life. All of those experiences created lasting memories and relationships that became the circle of her life.

Whether it was planning the next big gathering, traveling, boating, enjoying the beach, attending the latest play or concert, gardening or reading, she was a teacher at heart, always wanting to learn new skills and challenge herself. In the end, these activities built the foundation of a strong family and friends circle, which was the core of who she was.

There are sad times, but in the measure of lifetime, the good times outweigh the bad.
