Richard Neal Capps

Richard Neal Capps, 71, of Round Lake Heights, IL, passed away April 1, 2022, at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. He was born July 6, 1950, in Hinsdale, IL. Rich was the fifth child born to the union of William II and Harriet Capps. 

Rich is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Capps of Round Lake Heights; his children Jenna (Richard) Gaylor of Spring Grove, Ashley (Ryan) Wisniewski of Huntley, Alexis (Matthew) Dawiec of McHenry, and Jason Capps of Round Lake Heights. He was blessed with three granddaughters, Emma and Allie Wisniewski, and Lilly Dawiec. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Debbie (the late Ted) Faurbo of Grayslake, the late Larry Smith, W. Lee (Kati) Capps of Miramar Beach, FL, the late Patricia Capps, and Sandy (Shawn) Slattery of San Antonio,TX,  his aunts Estelle (the late Jack) Capps of LaGrange, and Jan (the late Hageman) of Des Plaines, and many nieces , nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents William II and Harriet Capps, his brother, Larry Smith and his sister, Patricia Capps. 

Rich was a selfless individual who would do anything for the family he loved. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be private.
