Reynaldo Castro Familar

Reynaldo Castro Familar, 81, of San Bernardino, CA, passed away suddenly July 16, 2022 at the Loma Linda Medical Center.  He was born December 23, 1940 in Manila, Philippines, and was the middle child of three born to the union of Domingo and Rosalina Familar. Reynaldo worked for the city of Chicago Dept. of Pollution Control through the eventual merge with the Cook County EPA.  He and his daughter, Beverly, moved to Redondo Beach, CA  in 1990 and then to San Bernardino in 2010 where he was an Insurance Broker.
Reynaldo is survived by his son; Raymond (Minerva) Familar of Grayslake, IL, and his daughter; Beverly Familar of Golden Valley, AZ, his grandchildren; Athena Familar of Palatine, IL and Kahlo Familar of Grayslake, IL, his sister; Adelaida (George) Teruel of Lincolnwood, IL and many nieces and nephews, Preceded in death by his parents; Domingo and Rosalina Familar and brother; Emmanuel Familar.
A memorial visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, wake service at 7:00 P.M. Rev. Paul Adamus, Officiating, for additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080.
