Ramon Cantu

Ramon Cantu, age 80 of Cicero, IL passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn, IL. He was born August 27, 1940 in Brownsville, TX to the union of Raul O. Cantu, Sr. and Simona (De La Rosa) Cantu. He graduated from Brownsville High School and later moved to the Chicago area, where he has resided for over 55 years.  He worked as a TV repairman for Quasar and Motorola and then for J.P. Custom in Chicago as a Electro Plater.  Ramon was a true Texan and an Elvis fan.

Beloved husband of the late Nancy Louise Hill. Loving father of Ramon (Leida) Hill of River Grove, Margarita Hill of Green Bay , WI, Carole (late Luis) Zafiro of El Paso, TX, late Dale Cornelius, late Jacqueline Lea Hill, Joyce Cornelius (Antonio Almodovar) of Chicago, Allen Roy (late Cheryl) Hill of Selmer, TX, Amanda Villafranca-Diaz (Michael Lavey) of Green Bay, WI and Lorenzo Hill of Green Bay, WI. Fond grandfather of 33, Great Grandfather of 62. Dear brother of the late Raul Cantu, Jr., David (Nora) Cantu of McAllen, TX, the late Irma Cantu, Minerva Cantu of Brownsville, TX, Rosie Cantu of Brownsville, TX and Raquel Garza of Brownsville, TX.

Visitation Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a wake service at 4:00 P.M. at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood. Interment will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Brownsville, TX.
