Phillip C. Ravid

Phillip C. Ravid, age 80, died peacefully on June 10, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne Rosen Ravid.  He is survived by his loving son, Michael (Hailey), brother, Steven (Missy), brother-in-law, William (Joanie) Rosen, niece, Katherine Rosen, nephew, Daniel Rosen, poodle, Tiger Lily, and African grey parrot, Louie.  Phil was the son of the late Sally & Sidney Ravid.  He was a proud graduate of Nettelhorst School, Lakeview High School, and the University of Wisconsin (BS & MBA). He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and on the board of the Junior League of Chicago. He spent his more than 50 year career as a CPA specializing in taxes.  He worked at Arthur Andersen & Co., Gale, Takahashi & Channon, and in 1983 began his own firm, Ravid & Bernstein that in 2013 expanded to the firm of Jesser, Ravid, Jason, Basso and Farber.  Phil was the embodiment of hard work who lived to serve his clients. He loved sailing on Lake Michigan in his boat named after the camp he attended in Wisconsin, Indianola, as well as captaining his yacht. Phil also loved spending time at his summer home in Lakeside, Michigan, and walking his poodles who were all named after flowers. The family wishes to thank his loyal caregivers, Gina, Laverne, Andrea and Ramon. Graveside service Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 1:30 pm, Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W.
