Noranne Marie (St. Clair) Och

Noranne Marie Och nee; St. Clair, 91, of Lake Zurich, IL and formerly of Grayslake, and Skokie, IL, passed away January 7, 2021 at the Lexington Health Care Center in Lake Zurich, IL.  Noranne was born December 11, 1929 in Chicago, IL and was the second child of five to the union of her parents, Albert and Grace (Barnaby) St. Clair.  Noranne retired from the Foster Stevens Box Company of Skokie and moved to Grayslake with her late husband Charles Edward Och, aka The Model Train Man ofSaddlebrook Farms.  Noranne was a devoted Catholic and in recent years sang in her church’s choir. 

Noranne was the loving mother of Thomas Och, Carol Och Madrid, and David Och, all who proceeded her in death, along with her beloved husband Charles E Och Jr., and her sister Martha (Ben Reget). Noranne is survived by her sisters Constance “Connie” (the late James) Foley of Waterbury CT, and Roberta (the late James) Zachar of South Haven, MI, along with her brother Gerald “Bob” (the late Sharon) St. Clair of Grayslake, Il. Also surviving Noranne are her beloved nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Despite many tragedies that Noranne endured she was forever a kind hearted person who always had a nice word for everyone, and nobody could miss the way her eyes lit up and her smile filled her face. She will truly be missed. Noranne was dearly loved, and loved in return. 

Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM until time of prayers at 11:15 AM at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W.
