Lidia Selagea, age 76 of Hollywood, FL formerly of Chicago went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2021 in Aventura, FL. Born January 16, 1944 in Ohaba, Romania the youngest child of 9 born to the union of Ieremia & Elisabeta (Broscatan) Dragomir. At the age of 9 her mother passed away, this is when she became passionate about horseback riding and would be the number one rider in the village. When she turned 14 she went to Sibiu to attended a technical school for knitting and in 1960 at the age of 16 she was baptized at the Christian Baptist Church, Sibiu. In 1961 she moved to Sebes where she was placed for her first job at the knitting factory. On June 1, 1963 in Sebes she married David Selagea and on October 3, 1979 the family immigrated to the United States settling in Chicago. The Selagea family was very active and were one of the founding families of the First Romanian Fundamentalist Baptist Church now Logos Baptist Ministries in Niles, Illinois. Lidia and David retired in 2009 and moved to Hollywood, FL in May of 2018 for health reasons.

Fond grandmother of Adriana (Andrew) Balaban, Cristina, Nicole, Jason (Tiffany), Cristian (McKenna), Shaun (Arianna), Matthew, Ashley, Kevin, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jonathan, Noah, Milly and Dylan Selagea, Faith and Anna Sfetcu. Great grandmother of Isis, Mia, Xavier, Ayden, Athena, Isabella and August Selagea. Dear sister of Maria (late Matei) Dragomir, late Ioan (late Tataisa) Dragomir, late Similie "Nana" (late Ioan) Stef and 5 siblings in infancy.
Visitation Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 4:00 PM until time of evening service 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral service Monday, January 25, 2021 10:00 AM at Logos Baptist Ministries, 7280 North Caldwell Avenue, Niles, IL Rev. Daniel Chiu, officiating. Interment following at Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Logos Christian Academy, 7280 North Caldwell Avenue, Niles, IL 60714 would be appreciated.
