Harry R Bensen

Harry R. Bensen, 74, of Round Lake Park, IL passed away surrounded by his family July 15, 2021 at his home, he was born March 9, 1947 in Chicago, IL, and was the younger of two children born to the union of Clarence and Emily Bensen, Harry loved playing golf, enjoyed watching Nascar and cruising to Alaska.

Harry is survived by his children; Thomas Bensen of Kenosha, WI, Tammy Whaley of Antioch, IL, Sheri Schenk of Hainesville, IL and Shanon (Gary) Szczesny of Fox Lake, IL, his grandchildren; Thomas Bensen II, Stephanie Wagner, Kyle Rozhon, William Whaley IV, Tyler (Naomi) Whaley, Emily LaValley, Ashley Schenk, Ava Szczesny, and Grace Szczesny, gr. grandchildren; Kendal, Nathaniel, Kali, Madi, and Zahc, his sister; Carol (the late Vic) Zmijewski, preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Emily Bensen, and his wife Lori Bensen.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, and 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 until time of chapel services at 10:00 A.M. interment to follow at Willow Lawn Memorial Park 24090 North Highway 45, Vernon Hills, IL 60061, for additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080.
