Gary Allen Johnson, 64 of Des Plaines, IL. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Elevate Care Northbrook , IL. He was born January 22, 1956 in Evanston, IL. Son of Richard A. Johnson & Elizabeth (Birong) Johnson. He attended Maine North High School, Des Plaines IL. He was employed by Johnson's Sporting Goods & Bantam Books located in Des Plaines, IL. Gary is survived by Sister's Sue (Chuck) LeMons of Decatur, IL. Mary-Johnson-Schroder (Gabe) of Washington, JoAnn Johnson of Plainfield, IL.  Niece Trisha LeMons-Paine (Bobby). Great Nephew's Branden & Dalten Paine of Forsyth, IL. Aunt Carol Birong Algonquin, IL., Uncle Orval & Aunt Paula Bogard of Carterville, IL. Cousin's:  Kathy O'Connel, Tim Birong, Diane Kay, Bill Birong and MaryJo Topinski, Jeff Thomas, Bernadette Gates, Mike Bogard & Linda Lobos. And his special friend Passavoy Chong. 
Preceded in death by Elizabeth (Birong) Johnson, John, Richard, & Patricia Johnson, Charles & Ila Johnson, Stan & Lorraine Thomas, Steven & Stan Thomas, Thomas Birong Orval & Mary Bogard.

A celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date.

Private burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines IL.
