Emery E. Coleman Jr. was born in Chicago on January 25, 1963 to the late Susie and Emery Coleman Sr. who preceded him in death, along with his sister Debra A Pullin.
Emery attended Sherwood, John Hope and Vanderpoel Grammar School and Morgan Park High School. Emery Accepted Christ at an early age. Emery loved helping out the community by removing the snow and cutting the grass for the elderly. He also loved old cars and music. Emery would be the one to cook every holiday and when he wasn't he was spending his time with his son playing football or riding bikes.
Emery worked for the Chicago public schools for many years as a custodian, that is where he met and married the love of his life Angelia J. Dixon on February 1, 2003 and under that union their son Emery A. Coleman was born.
Emery also worked for A&R Security for many years until he had to retire due to his health issues.
Emery was called home on December 25, 2022.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his son little Emery, his beloved wife Angelia, step son's Joseph, Aarion, and Arnaz. His sister Lisa, niece Tyler, great nephews Blake and Chase, sister-in-law Aariel, brother-in-laws Andeis and Aaron, great aunt Minnie (James) Ford, great uncle Norman (Ann) Middlebrooks, uncle Roosevelt (Jean) Williams, Aunt's Ruby Redmond Fisher of Chicago, Earlene (Alvin) Coleman of Chicago, and Aurelia (June) Davis of Bellwood. Cousin's Garrick (Shirley) Redmond, Gregory (late Juanita) Redmond, Alvin Eugene (Loretta) Coleman, Erica, and Kenneth (Anita) Coleman. Emery also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
