Dora Lusamba Kabengele

Dora Lusamba Kabengele, age 45 of Chicago passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Lutheran General Hospital. She was born May 3, 1976 in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo to the union of Hugues Mvuala Kabengele and Denise Kasangu Milemba. She studied in Congo until 11th grade then 12th grade in Burundi. From there she returned back to Congo, started college then to Benin and changed her major and stayed there until 2005. Then came to America where she graduated from North Park University, Chicago for nursing. She worked at various hospitals but most enjoyed working at behavioral hospitals for children. She was very generous, always smiling, and always there for everyone. She always saw the good in people. A strong woman of prayer, she loved God, and was always witnessing the love of Christ. A woman who would feed people without having anything for herself. 

Beloved mother to Ana. Loving daughter to Hugues Mvuala Kabengele and Denise Kasangu Milemba. Dear sister to Lydia Kabengele, Hubert Kabengele, Ghislain Kabengele, Nancy Kabengele, Irene Kabengele, Manu Kabengele, Oliver Kabengele. Fond aunt of Alexander and Nathanael Issa Balinga, Davina and Esther Kabengele, Johanna, Michaela, Angela and Isaiah Kabengele and Vanessa, Joel and Jeremiah Vivu. Cherished niece of Rebecca Tshibola Kandenga, and fond cousin of Yanou, Andy, Ray, Yves, Anita and Tshanda Mbuyi.

Visitation Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral Saturday, January 15, 2022 10:00 A.M. at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home, 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Officiating Pastor Louvain Lakasi of Mountain of Prayer Church, Chicago.  Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville.
