Charles Keith Pugesek

Charles Keith Pugesek, 76, of Fox Lake, IL passed away suddenly Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital. He was born on June 20, 1945 to the late Walter and Elenore Pugesek, in Chicago, Illinois. Charlie's love for the race strip  was like no other. It was always a good day at the races! He truly enjoyed traveling. He loved to get in his car and just hit the road. Anytime he needed directions, he would grab his road atlas and magnifying glass. No GPS needed for him! Charlie was always a people person. He loved gatherings, celebrations, and events. Never a dull moment for him. He was a super fan of all Chicago sports teams. He also loved the excitement of the casinos, colors and lights. Charlie was not only proud of his family, he was a very generous, caring man. He was always willing to reach out and help whoever he can. 

Charles is survived by his four children; Carol (Bruce) Borys of Fox Lake, IL, Christopher (Corinne) Pugesek of Genoa City, WI, Cynthia (Richard) Allen of Pearland, TX, and Charles “CJ” (Christine) Pugesek of Round Lake, IL, grandchildren; Zachary Borys of Lake Villa, IL, Caylee Borys of Houston, TX, Makenzie Borys of Fox Lake, IL, Tyler Gorski of Mundelein, IL, Emily Pugesek of Genoa City, WI, Kyle Pugesek of Genoa City, WI, Ricky Allen of Pearland, TX, Hannah Allen of Pearland, TX, Hailey Allen of Pearland, TX, Alex Pugesek of Round Lake, IL, and Kylee Pugesek of Round Lake, IL. great grandchildren; Leah and Seth Gorski of Mundelein, IL, his brother; Larry (Barb) Pugesek of Glendale Heights, IL and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Carol Pugesek, and parents Walter and Elenore Pugesek.

Memorial Service will be held 4:00 P.M. until time of services at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. For additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080
