Carrie Mae Watson

Carrie Mae Watson "Little Bit", age 60 of Chicago passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at her sons home. Born November 29, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Richard and Jessie Mae (Stephens) Coleman. Carrie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hammond, her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life.  She was a beautiful Queen, a giving free spirited woman who would give the shirt off her back and take in anyone who need a place to stay.  She was a loved by all, and her accomplishments in life were being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all.

Beloved wife of the late Shawn Bass, Loving mother Demetrios (Brenda) Coleman, Rosalie Coleman (Jermaine Dockery), Shaun (Ashley) Coleman III, and Maurice (Nicole) Bass.  Fond grandmother of 14; Jermaine, Aaliyah, Ciera, Allison, Ellison, Briana, Gabriel, Dion, Xanya, Xavier, DeShawn, Maurice, Jr., Simeon and Oracle Demetria. Great Grandmother of 4; Ava, Mya, Nova and Leonte. Dear sister of  the late Maine "Leo", late Richard "June", Ronald, Rosalie, Geraldine, Gladys, Willamae, Frances, Michelle and Tammy and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Jessie May Coleman.

Visitation Saturday, March 26, 2022 2:00 PM until time of Memorial Service 3:00 PM at Mount Ararat Transforming Ministries, 7541 South Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois 60620. Apostle Cynthia Martin, officiating.
