Carmella DeFilippis

Carmella Delores DeFilippis, age 86 of Highland Park passed way on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Highland Park Hospital. She was born February 24, 1936 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the union of Frank and Julia (Aiello) DeFilippo. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School and on August 31, 1953 at Saint Rocco Church in Valenzano, Bari, Italy she married Michele DeFilippis. The couple moved to Highwood, Illinois where they started their family.

Beloved husband of the late Michele DeFilippis on May 30, 2010.  Loving mother of the late Rocco DeFilippis, Frank (Dawn) DeFilippis of Highland Park, Rachele (David) Masterson of North Carolina, Dominick DeFilippis of Montana and Chuck DeFilippis of Florida. Fond grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 8. Dear sister of Rocco (Mary) DeFilippis of Beach Park and the late Charles (late Dottie) DeFilippis.

Visitation Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 9:00 until time of funeral mass 10:00 A.M at Saint James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
