Carlos Raul Escobar, age 61, of Mundelein, Illinois passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in Mundelein, Illinois. Born May 21, 1960 in Medellin, Colombia to the union of Raul and Gilma (Vasquez) Escobar. Carlos attended Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Illinois and graduated class of 1978. On August 20, 1988 at St. James Church in Highwood, Illinois Carlos married Lorena Irene Facchini, and the couple started their family. Carlos was a maintenance supervisor at McGill Management Company in Arlington Heights. Carlos was known as a family man who loved the outdoors and his pets including his cats and dog.

Beloved husband of Lorena. Loving father of Kelly Escobar (17), Sonny Escobar (14), Joseph Escobar (10), and Bella Escobar (9). Cherished son of Gilma Escobar of Highwood. Dear brother of Maria (Aldo) Tenuta of Highland Park, Martha Koopman of Highland Park and Lucy Spears of Highland Park. Devoted son-in-law of Angelo and Gabriella Facchini of Highwood. Brother-in-law of Joseph Facchini of Mundelein. Fond uncle to Alex (Meagan) Tenuta of Lake Forest, DeAnna (Demetri) Papchristopoulos of Gilberts, Danny Spears of California and Anthony & Nicholas Facchini of Mundelein. Nephew to many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services are private, entombment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
