Antonio Pajente Obituary

Antonio Pajente age 73 of Waukegan, Illinois passed away peacefully November 20, 2020 at his home.  He was born October  24, 1947 in Leyte, Philippines. He was drafted in the U.S. Navy in 1971. On April 18, 1973 he was married in a civil marriage in Malabon, Rizal, Philippines and in a church wedding on September 15, 1975 in Dimasalang, Masbate, Philippines to Rosalinda Francisco. Antonio served active duty Navy for 20 years serving in California, Philippines, Hawaii and finally at Great Lakes, Illinois where he settled in Waukegan. Antonio was a jack-of-all-trades with a  green thumb. He enjoyed gardening, planting and harvesting of fruit trees.  Fishing in Hawaii, dancing, playing the guitar and karaoke were some of his hidden talents. When relaxing he enjoyed Kung-Fu movies especially with Bruce Lee, everything Elvis and his favorite cartoon was Popeye the Sailor man.

Beloved husband of Rosalinda nee: Francisco. Loving father of Angelyn (Anthony) Merino of Fox Lake, Marylu (Joshua) Neuwirth of Fort Worth, TX and the late Jesse (Jennifer) Pajente of Libertyville. Fond grandfather of Daniel and Amanda Merino and Caleb and Cylla Neuwirth. Dear brother of the late Virginia (late Elpedio) Atacador of Lanai, HI, the late Cornelia (late Orlando) Diesta of Honolulu, Colita (Lucio) Hao of Honolulu, Lucila (Marcos) Badillo of Lanai and the late Benjamin Pajente.  Fond uncle and cousin to many.

Visitation Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service 1:00 P.M. at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Illinois. A private interment and military honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery, Highwood, Illinois.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, Symonds Funeral Homes is dedicated to abiding by the guidelines from the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) to prevent the unintentional spread of germs. It is our top priority to ensure and execute all measures to protect not only our bereaved families and communities but staff as well. There will be a limit of 50 people in the building at a time, we ask that you extend your sympathies to the family and not remain in the building, allowing others who will be waiting to also pay their respects. This is a difficult time for our nation and for the families we serve as the COVID-19 Virus continues to spread across the states, we ask guests attending the visitation to -Practice social distancing -Face mask required -Requiring anyone exhibiting symptoms of illness to stay at home -Limiting physical contact such as hugging, shaking hands, kissing on cheeks ect. -Cleaning hands with antibacterial soap and warm water for a minimum of 20 seconds.
