Amedeo Stefani, age 78 of Lake Forest, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with his wife Gisella and family by his side. He was born June 1, 1943 in Piandelagotti, Modena, Italy to the union of Franco and Beata (Lamberti) Stefani. He immigrated to America as a young boy in 1955 alongside his parents and sisters. Amedeo attended Oak Terrace School and graduated from Highland Park High School. After a few years in construction he became a meat cutter for Lakeside Foods in Winnetka where he retired in 2007. He was a member of the Modenese Society for 60 years. Amedeo was a simple man who worked hard and loved deeply. He will be missed tremendously. More than anything, he cherished his family and the time spent together. Amedeo will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Gisella, his 3 boys Paolo (Angie), Sandro (Rosa) and Christopher (Rebecca) and his grandchildren, Alexa, Niko, Mia, Sabrina, Landon and great grandson Armani. He is survived by his sister-in-law Maria (Mike) Nanini of Highwood and fond Zio of a host of nieces and nephews. Amedeo is preceded in death by his parents Franco and Beata Stefani, sisters Alda (Joseph) Mocogni and Carolina (Bart) Biondi.
A memorial mass will be held at St. James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 A.M.
