Alexander Rivi

January 21, 1937 - March 19, 2022

age 85, of Highland Park passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Highland Park Hospital. Born January 21, 1937 in Roteglia, Modena, Italy to the union of Ernesto Pietro and Nella (Sassatelli) Rivi. At a young age he immigrated to Highwood, Illinois where he attended Oak Terrace School and Highland Park High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th class  in the Korean Conflict. When he came home from the service he worked for Motor Parts in Highland Park. On November 16, 1962 he married Pamela Elizabeth Books at St. James Church and the young couple started their family and in 1965 he started Sheridan Auto Parts.  Alex was an avid golfer and he loved his family very much.

Beloved husband of 59 years to Pamela. Loving father of Laurie (Ralph) Lenzini of Waukegan, Jeff (Aileen) Rivi of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Vicki Lea Rivi of Mundelein. Fond papa of Alyssa, Stephanie, Kristina, Katie, Pammie, Alex and Jessica.  Great papa of Lupita, Julio, Lucio and Kaladin. Dear brother of the late John (late Jean) Rivi, late Dominic (Maryalice) Rivi and the late Audrey (John) Kallas of Highwood and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral Monday, March 28, 2022 from 10:00 until time of prayers 11:00 AM at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood. to St. James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood. Mass 11:30 A.M. Rev. JoAndre Beltran, celebrant. Military Honors and committal service following at Fort Sheridan Cemetery, Sheridan Rd and Vatman Road, Highwood..  In lieu of flowers memorials to Tunnel to Towers Foundation would be appreciated.
